The Aviation Authority owns and operates the Charleston International Airport, Charleston Executive Airport (Johns Island), and the East Cooper Airport. The Authority is responsible for maintaining, operating, and developing all public airports in the Charleston County Airport District.
WHO ARE WE?
The Charleston County Aviation Authority is a public body created for the sole purpose of operating the public airports in the County of Charleston: Charleston International Airport, Charleston Executive Airport, and East Cooper Airport. The Authority is an independent organization chartered by the state of South Carolina with control vested in eleven Authority members.
WHAT'S OUR MISSION?
The mission of the authority is to operate its three airports in a safe and efficient manner in order to best serve the traveling public and the citizens of Charleston County.
