The Charleston County Aviation Authority Police Department maintains
lost property in accordance to SC Code of Laws 27-21-20. Sergeant Charles Melvin is the
Property Custodian for the airport police department. If you believe you have left
something in the terminal building or parking areas, please call and check with
communications at (843) 767-1100. You may contact Sgt. Melvin, directly by e-mail at CMelvin@chs-airport.com. Items that are
not claimed by the property owner within 90 days will be disposed of in accordance with
State law. The Police Department does not store food items or other perishable items. The
Police Department does not store items left behind on aircrafts or rental cars. Please
contact the airline or car rental company directly in reference to those items left
behind.
