SECURITY ALERTS / UPDATES

Helpful Hints:

If you are planning a trip to the Charleston International Airport it is important for you to know:

• Because of new security measures, allow yourself plenty of time.
• OBSERVE THE POSTED SPEED LIMITS – Please observe the posted speed limits when operating a vehicle on the Airport roadways.
• Call the airline before coming to the airport to insure the flight is operating on time.
• All personal items and luggage are subject to inspection prior to boarding any aircraft.
• The Transportation Security Administration limits carry-on property to "one bag plus one personal item". Passengers should keep their luggage and personal property in their possession at all times.
• Bags and personal items left unattended are subject to inspection and search by law enforcement.

• For your safety and security parking in front of the Terminal Building is prohibited.
  Vehicles left unattended will be ticketed and towed immediately at the operator’s own expense.
• Vehicles are permitted to stop at the Terminal curbside only to drop-off and pick-up luggage and/or passengers.
• Vehicles are not allowed to wait for passengers on the curbside.

• Public parking for is free for the first thirty minutes and .75 for the first hour.
• Valet parking service is available through an Airport tenant.
• Free cell phone waiting area (see airport map page)

• Only ticketed passengers are allowed through the security checkpoints to gates. Guest can meet passengers outside the security checkpoints (entrance to concourse) or in the baggage claim area.
• Customers needing assistance may contact the Information Desk or the Airport Operator by dialing on any white courtesy telephone located in the Terminal.
